Commissioning Engineer / Manager – Frankfurt

Our client is a well-established and thriving specialist mechanical services contractor undertaking the supply and installation of prefabricated and modular mechanical / HVAC and energy solutions across Ireland, The UK and Europe 

This organisation works across multiple industry sectors but in mainland Europe they specialise within the data centre and similar high-tech markets. 

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager / Engineer to join the team delivering a hyper-scale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany 

Role
•    The candidate will take overall responsibility for the pre commissioning, commissioning, and handover of your projects 
•    You will be responsible for the scheduling & planning of all elements of commissioning and handover relating to these projects including detailed programming, coordination of supply chain, document collation, site-based client demonstrations and compiling all O&M documentation for handover.  
•    You will support the in-house Design Team and will issue progress reports on upcoming commissioning works weekly.
•    You should be technically minded and have a strong focus on organisation and co-ordination of various supply chain members.  

Key Responsibilities
•    Commissioning Planning - develop comprehensive commissioning plans in collaboration with project managers and design teams. Define clear objectives, milestones, and timelines for commissioning activities.
•    Regulatory Compliance - Ensure that commissioning activities adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.  Stay updated on changes in regulations and integrate them into commissioning processes.
•    Team Management - Lead and Manage a team of office and site-based commissioning staff.
•    Stakeholder Collaboration - collaborate with project managers, design teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless integration of systems, both in delivery stages and formal handover to the aftersales team.  Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and address concerns.
•    Documentation Review - Review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, test protocols, and commissioning records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•    System Validation - Validate the performance of commissioned systems and ensure they meet specified requirements and approved tech submittals.
•    Formal Handover – Compile, review, and issue as formal documentation all the required paperwork required to handover all completed documents to clients.  This should include a formal on-site client handover / system demonstration.

Essential Criteria 
•    Must hold current professional membership relevant to the industry (CIBSE / BSRIA / CSA) 
•    Previous experience in a similar commissioning role within the energy / commercial M&E Sector 
•    Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask. 
•    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to process a high volume of information and address any issues / discrepancies arising within same 
•    Proven track record in the implementation and management of project specific commissioning processes 
•    Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Suites and Viewpoints systems 

In return our client is offering a salary of circa €100k, plus individual accommodation, fortnightly rotation, team allowances, pension and healthcare.
